THE STORY
Deadly Alfano is the solo project from Toronto musician and songwriter Francesco Alfano that explores a more intimate & expansive approach to creativity. Drawing from acoustic, folk-rock and world music, Deadly Alfano’s sound is influenced by different cultures, places and shared experiences. The musical subject matter covers themes of humanism, spirituality, belonging and a connection bigger than oneself.
As a life-long musician, Francesco Alfano previously fronted Toronto band Lucid Movement, performing original music at venues including Horseshoe Tavern, Lee’s Palace, Bovine Sex Club and The Rivoli, as well as numerous venues throughout Ontario & Quebec. With Deadly Alfano, he steps outside the traditional formats to create music that is more personal, atmospheric and rooted in storytelling.
Deadly Alfano launches “Shelter”, a song about searching for safety, refuge and need for self-preservation, above all else, in an increasingly uncertain world. The single produced by J.C. Sandoval of St. Doval, mixed by Andrew Lauzon from Grant Avenue Studio and mastered by Noah Mintz from Lacquer Channel, arrives on all streaming platforms October 2, followed by a music video and release show at Toronto’s Hard Luck Bar on October 15. Through Deadly Alfano, Francesco Alfano is beginning a new chapter in his music — one that is seeking for deeper purpose.
